Our trip to The Huntington, Pasadena

Today Grampa flew into LA from his trip to New York so Kylie and I picked him up at the airport and headed to The Huntington Museum in Pasadena. The museum part was cool - they had so many old books from hundreds of years ago, but we couldn't really spend the time looking at them since Kylie was talking and screaming (in a happy way) so loud in the little museum we were afraid she was bothering everyone else! We rushed through the museum part and set out to explore the gardens. It was so beautiful, I couldn't ever describe it well enough to do it justice! They have an amazing Children's Garden with so many cool things to touch, do, and see! We also really liked the Rain forests, Japanese Gardens, the Herb Gardens, and the fact that Kylie fell asleep during a portion of it! :)

Here is Kylie in a tunnel were when the sun hits just right these beautiful rainbows appear on the ground...was she wearing the perfect outfit for this pic or what?!

Kylie and Grampa in the Children's Garden

Here we are standing in a cloud! It was so crazy! It didn't feel wet at all, but as soon as it stopped, you were soaking wet!

This was Kylie's first time actually paying any attention to water fountains! She loved putting her hands, well actually her whole arms, into the water! She started splashing around in it until she was totally soaked!

Okay, this is reason enough for me to go back again - Magnetic Sand! I can't even explain it, just go check it out!

I better get started on building one of these for Kylie for our patio...it can't be that hard, right?

You know how I like to think I am a professional photographer...

The indoor Rain forest was so amazing! There were so many different flowers and plants tucked away in every corner. They had kaleidoscopes to look at all the plants through...here is Grampa looking at Kylie's bright outfit:

And here is a shot of what it looked like! (Look at her little feet!)

How could I NOT take a pic of this?!

Kylie looking at the fishys!

I swear I could frame this and sell it for $3500...any takers?

"Go Pods" - you have to be a San Diegan to get it!

Our little giant...

Fast asleep! (I guess museums are boring for kids!)

I thought this was so cool...at the right angle it looked just like a heart!
