A few weeks ago when Kylie, Jim and I went to the new Playa Vista park I met Michelle and her daughter Noelle who is a couple weeks younger than Kylie. We started talking and it turns out that her best friend was Michael's first grade teacher last year! If that isn't crazy enough, it ends up that Paulien (my friend from Gymboree) happens to know Michelle too, as they both live in the same little community! We have been emailing ever since trying to find a time to get together, and we finally worked out a playdate! Today Me, Kylie, Michelle and her daughter Noelle, Paulien and her daughter Jaden, and Amy and her daughter Ava all met at the library for story time! It was so cool - the woman reading the books was very loud and outgoing and wasn't phased in the least by the fact that only two kids where actually listening to her, the others were running/crawling around and screaming/talking! Noelle was so cute, she stared at the book the entire time; I don't think Kylie looked at it once! We sang songs, listened to the books, then there was a surprise guest appearance from a couple dance teachers who led us in some songs and dances! The kids loved it, especially when they got to sprinkle "magic" around the room with magic wands! The only problem was getting the kids to return the wands at the end!
After story time we walked over to the park for a while where a little girl decided she was in love with all four of the babies! She was particularly fond of Kylie as she sat next to her and rubbed her back for at least 10 minutes straight! When I was nursing Kylie she came over and covered her with a blanket and then distributed the toys evenly between all the babies! As if this wasn't funny enough, she decided that she needed to be the one to feed Ava her bottle! We were cracking up! When we packed up to leave she asked her mom if she wanted to hold a baby, and offered up Ava!
We then headed over to Piknic for lunch, and it was yummy!! Kylie got really fussy at lunch since she was up since 6 am (maybe she is getting another tooth?) so it was a bit frustrating! I am used to her being happy in every situation! In an attempt to calm her down I let her play with my water...she immediately grabbed the lemon and went to town...you have to see the pics below! We had a great time with the girls and can't wait to hang out again! :)

Noelle and Kylie at the park...Kylie has a problem with trying to take other babies' toys away! (And I have a problem with just laughing at it rather than correcting her!) Noelle is such a good little girl, I don't think she held it against Kylie! :)
