Kylie's First Pasta!

Tonight we gave Kylie her first taste of Pasta! She actually LOVED it, which is a good thing, since that is pretty much all we eat around here! She looked so cute after eating it:

Jim was cracking up since she looked so funny, and his loud laugh scared the crap out her:

Here is Daddy trying to comfort the poor little thing!

Make-up Gymbo Class

Since we had to miss Gymboree this week to hang out with Grampa (don't worry, it was worth it!) we made up our class today. There was only ONE other Mom and baby there and they were just trying out the class for the day so I was the only one who knew all the songs and activities. Yeah, just picture me and my beautiful voice singing "Fly, Fly, Fly Your Plane..." NOT a pretty picture! To make matters worse the other Mom was VERY overprotective over her baby and every time Kylie came near him she FLIPPED out and would pick Kylie up and move her away! It is nice though to do make up classes every once in a while since I don't know any of the other Moms I can actually focus on little Kylie and give her the real Gymbo experience. But don't get me wrong, Tuesday Gymbo with my girls is the REAL way to do it! ;)

Kylie has become obsessed with crawling after just ONE little bubble on the mat! She goes right up to it and very precisely pops it with her little finger!

Finally, a new toy! (These people deprive me!) :)

Today we picked up the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Home for Kylie! The poor little girl has no toys so it was about time we got her one (ha ha). She LOVES this house! It does so many cool things - the light turns on and off with a giant light switch, the clock ticks, the door says "open" and "close", the radio plays music, the door bell rings, I could go on and on!! I think I may like it more than Kylie!! Here she is exploring her new digs! (And working on pulling up to standing...still a little shaky, and still on those tippy-toes!)

Curius George...

Little Kylie is getting into everything now! Daddy was not happy about this one - do you know how much the price per wipe is?!

But how do you get mad at that little face?!

I Couldn't Resist!

Here we are at Toys 'R Us today...I still can't get over Kylie sitting in a big girl cart!

Our trip to The Huntington, Pasadena

Today Grampa flew into LA from his trip to New York so Kylie and I picked him up at the airport and headed to The Huntington Museum in Pasadena. The museum part was cool - they had so many old books from hundreds of years ago, but we couldn't really spend the time looking at them since Kylie was talking and screaming (in a happy way) so loud in the little museum we were afraid she was bothering everyone else! We rushed through the museum part and set out to explore the gardens. It was so beautiful, I couldn't ever describe it well enough to do it justice! They have an amazing Children's Garden with so many cool things to touch, do, and see! We also really liked the Rain forests, Japanese Gardens, the Herb Gardens, and the fact that Kylie fell asleep during a portion of it! :)

Here is Kylie in a tunnel were when the sun hits just right these beautiful rainbows appear on the ground...was she wearing the perfect outfit for this pic or what?!

Kylie and Grampa in the Children's Garden

Here we are standing in a cloud! It was so crazy! It didn't feel wet at all, but as soon as it stopped, you were soaking wet!

This was Kylie's first time actually paying any attention to water fountains! She loved putting her hands, well actually her whole arms, into the water! She started splashing around in it until she was totally soaked!

Okay, this is reason enough for me to go back again - Magnetic Sand! I can't even explain it, just go check it out!

I better get started on building one of these for Kylie for our patio...it can't be that hard, right?

You know how I like to think I am a professional photographer...

The indoor Rain forest was so amazing! There were so many different flowers and plants tucked away in every corner. They had kaleidoscopes to look at all the plants through...here is Grampa looking at Kylie's bright outfit:

And here is a shot of what it looked like! (Look at her little feet!)

How could I NOT take a pic of this?!

Kylie looking at the fishys!

I swear I could frame this and sell it for $3500...any takers?

"Go Pods" - you have to be a San Diegan to get it!

Our little giant...

Fast asleep! (I guess museums are boring for kids!)

I thought this was so cool...at the right angle it looked just like a heart!

Kylie Kitty!

I don't think I have mentioned Kylie Kitty before, it is Kylie's blankie. I am still unsure whether she actually cares about it or not, but I have been putting her to sleep with it since she was 6 weeks old. When I want her to sleep in the car I give her one there too, and it usually does the trick. When I see her actually holding it (or chewing on it which is what she usually does) I think it is the sweetest thing ever! Today when I got out of the car I caught her in the backseat holding and playing with Kylie Kitty...I had to snap some shots!!

*As for the pacifier...I wish she would suck it, but it is mostly a toy for her! She loves chewing on it and it keeps her happy and busy in the car!

See how the paci hangs out the side of her mouth as she chews it? She is such a nut!

Just Hanging Out..

Tyler and Kylie looking at Nana's chickens

Nana has a tin full of buttons that Tyler loves to look at...he started yelling "Buttons, Buttons" and grabbed the tin to pull it down. Only problem, it busted open and hundred of teeny tiny very "chokable" buttons went everywhere! You would have thought it was like a pinata busting open and candy going everywhere the way that Kylie was going after them! Luckily we pulled her away in time! Tyler spent forever going through the buttons naming each color and pointing out the "pretty" ones!

Check out the video!

Cuddling with Mommy

We needed the crib for Kylie to sleep in at Nana's, and more importantly, Tyler has been sleeping in his big boy bed at his house for over a month, so we decided we would try to use Nick's bed as Tyler's big boy bed at Nana's house. He was a little unsure about it at first, so Nana had to tell him that the half naked lady posters on the ceiling (it IS Nick's room) were Mommy's that were going to watch over him all night! Then we took turns checking on him every 3 minutes. Each time we would go up there he would lift his head up and look at us so we would say "Night Night Tyler" and he responded with "Night Night"! Only problem was that we were checking on him so much he couldn't fall asleep! :) He finally passed out after a while and looked so cute in that big bed! When I went up to go to sleep he was dangerously close to the edge of the bed! Nana had put pillows on the ground just in case he rolled off, but I was too nervous for that! I grabbed Danny and we moved a bookshelf along side the bed as an extra barrier! He slept all night just fine until 6:30 am when he decided it was time to get up for the day! (Poor Nana!)
