A night with the girls!

This afternoon Kylie and I drove up to Camarillo (she took the first half, I drove the second, ha ha) to meet Auntie Susie and Auntie Pinny for our monthly gourmet dinner at Souplantation and shopping trip to Target! We left a bit late but Sue was nice enough to allow us to take some of our precious dinner time to shop at the Outlets! Kylie scored some CUTE new clothes (of course)! Then it was off to dinner where Kylie threw half a container of Puffs onto the floor one by one - hey, it kept her busy, and I DID pick them all up! Sue and I each gave Pin a baby gift for the future mini-Kaplon (she is 6 weeks pregs) and Sue even surprised Kylie with a cute outfit - "It is Shabby Chic" as Sue said! Then, it was off to Target where we followed our usual routine:

1) get the Diet Coke and Popcorn combo for $1, ask for a second bag to bring all the popcorn home to Jim

2) Dollar bins - Where Pin puts half the inventory in our cart - to be taken care of in step number 21

3) Jim calls :)

4) Clothes section (especially clearance)

5) Pin asks complete strangers (while holding Kylie) who they think Kylie's mom is, and then gets so excited when they say her!

6) Dressing rooms - where Sue organizes my wallet :) and Kylie gets to play on the floor, and Pin has to try on seven size smalls to be sure she gets the one that fits the best and doesn't have a loose thread

7) Shoes - Sue has to try on the damn brown shoes AGAIN and check to see if they are on sale yet - AGAIN

8) Pin announces she told the dog sitter she would pick Bailey up in 10 minutes, and the dog sitter lives an hour away

9) Baby Section

10) Pin asks complete stranger who they think Kylie's mom is, and then gets so excited once again if they think it is her (it is too damn funny!)

11) Baby Clothes - everyone ditches Kylie and me at this point and we are left to go it alone until step number 15

12) Bed Linens - Pin picks out more Shabby Chic items for her room

13) Jim calls :)

14) Food section - Sue has to get her gum!

15) We have to call each other on our cells to locate one another in the store

16) Cosmetics and Cleansers

17) Frames

18) Cleaning Supplies

19) Jim calls :)

20) They tell us the store is now closing, please bring all items to the front

21) Put half the stuff we put in the cart back away since we have all grabbed way too much

22) Sue checks her palm pilot to be sure she has checked all items off her list

23) Pay

24) Change Kylie in Sue's car

25) Head home!

And, YES, this does happen every time, every month!

Baby Kaplon's first outfit...it says "Tax Deduction" - perfect on so many levels, 1) Brian is a number-cruncher, 2) He/She will be making their debut just under the end of 2007, 3) Pin will be taking that tax deduction money shopping, probably to Target!
