Dates...

1/6/10 - Been feeling nauseous for a couple days which came and went throughut the day. Didn't think much of it until tonight at dinner when after only making it halfway through my meal out I got SO SICK and felt SO FULL I started to panic. On the way home I called Jim and told him I HAD to be pg. He of course didn't beleive me.

1/7/10 - Pg test. Positive before I could even pull my pants up. Graphic, sorry, get used to it.

1/11/10 - Got the WORST stomach flu I have ever had. Ended up in the ER having to publicly say the words, "will this medication hurt, um, uh, eek, ah, the, buh, buh, bay, baby?". Then getting a urinalysis that came back positive for pg. I will not forgot those first words, just as I will never forget those when I found out I was pregnant with Kylie (yes, you are pregnant. VERY pregnant.) This time around, "oh, yeah, it was positive, be sure to see an OB. (doctor). Nurse: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! A 2010 baby!!!!! Me: Please don't say congratulations right now. Nurse 2: A surprise? Me: Yes. On birth control. Nurse 2: Happened to me too. Nurse 1: My baby busted right through my IUD. Me: Barf bag?

1/12/10 - Told Mom/Sarah

Here we go again...

I'm going to TRY to update this blog as much as possible again...well...because we actually have a real reason to. Not that Kylie's adorable nuttiness isn't reason enough, but because we are expecting nutty number 2. One of the many traits I got from my mom was the need to be fair, so number 2 deserves at least a TINY bit of attention so not to completely disappear in the shadow of my pregnancy with Ky! Here goes nothing. At the very least it will be something to do when I am too sick to work!

Bad Mommy!

Today Kylie and I both were finally feeling better! I decided to take Ky to open gym at Gymboree since she has been cooped up all week in the house! Daddy and I were pumping her up all day for Gymbo, and when we pulled into the parking garage she started bouncing up and down in her car seat laughing and smiling. I got her all the way into Gymboree when I noticed it was empty, then I noticed the orange and black balloons, and it hit me...there was no open gym due to the Halloween parties! Poor little Kylie, she was at the gate trying to get in and I had to tell her no Gymbo today! I tried to make it up to her by letting her play in the lobby for a while, but that didn't stop the tears when I had to put her back into the stroller! As a result, I let her walk around the mall (YEP! She is pretty much walking now!!!!!), although, I think that was more for me than her! :)

"What's going on in there, and why can't I go in??"
I let her go for a ride on the little quarter machine rides at the food court...BAD IDEA! She hated it! Check out her little hands gripping on for her life!

Goofy girl!

Ky has turned into such a little nut! She is exploring her toys in all new ways! Her favorite thing to do is to try and put things on her head! Here she is trying on her baby's bassinet!

I LOVE her little face in this pic!!
"I wonder if I can stand up in this?"
"Okay, not working"

"Mommy???"

"Hey, this is the new look!"
Another attempt at putting something on her head...Kylie found this thing - I don't even know what it is! It is a hand-me-down from Cousin Tyler! She constantly tries to put it on like a headband or sunglasses...today it ended up more like a scarf! She was so funny, she kept it there for over 30 minutes and was walking around leaning to the side with her head trying to keep it in place!

Baby neck brace!

Soup's On (Kylie)!

Due to my wonderful feeling-like-I-am-dying-sickness, I have been living off of chicken noodle soup. Apparently, Kylie didn't want to feel left out. There is NO sickness bad enough to keep me more than an arm's length from my camera!

(Yes, there was soup in the bowl, about 1/100th went in Ky's mouth, the rest - the couch, her shirt, under her double chins where it is near impossible to clean...)

Another trip to the pumpkin patch! :)

Today we took our annual trip to the Bates Nut Farm pumpkin patch in San Diego. Kylie and I went with Nana, Uncle Nick, Brooke, Uncle Danny, Auntie Sah Sah, Cousin Tyler, Auntie Em, John, Ethan, and Lily! It was as hot as can be there which was not conducive to our new fall outfits, ha ha! Poor Ky was probably dying in her pumpkin beanie! We got our traditional HUGE pumpkin, this year it weighted in at 84 pounds! We had a great time and got some GREAT pics!

Even Lily dressed up for the occasion!
Kylie and Uncle Nick
The pumpkins were bigger than Kylie!

Ignore the darkness...I need to fix this one in photoshop, but I love this shot.
I LOVE these next five shots...I had to post all of them! Total framers!!

Kylie could have sat here all day poking this pumpkin!

The Golden kids...Nick, Emily, Rachel, Dan, Sarah (N.E.R.D.S!)
Could have been a cute shot, but she was NOT into sitting on a pumpkin! :)
Tyler tried so hard to push the wheelbarrow but he couldn't figure out that you need to LIFT and PUSH! Instead he was pushing it flat on the ground, but he was REALLY pushing! :)
Grrrrr.....
I think I can, I think I can!
Hmmm, maybe this will work?
Can you help me Uncle??
Of course Kylie had her Kitty!
Again, why oh why didn't you smile in this awesome picture???
Kylie and Mommy

All the "kids"...Brooke, Nick, Kylie, Rachel, Tyler, Ethan, Sarah, Emily, Dan, John
Sarah and Tyler (and baby sister coming soon!!)
Golden Fam...
I love when Tyler walks like this! Like, Hmmm, what shall I do next...
NOT into the wheelbarrow ride!
Ladybug Lily!
Tyler's shirt said "Big Trouble comes in small packages"...when someone asked Tyler if he was big trouble he said, "No, small packages are trouble"!!
This was so funny, Kylie grabbed the leash for Lily from someone and started walking with her!
Cutie pie!
Why are we so obsessed with putting our heads through weird wooden holes? this one doesn't even make sense! Not like it stopped us!
Farmer Ky
Tyler could not wait the entire time to see the "Aminals!". He kept picking up animal food from the ground (little pieces of dried corn that other kids paid for and accidentally dropped) and was working very hard to put each piece inside the cages and trying to feed the goats with them. Only problem was that the goats have been eating that darn dried up corn all day everyday so they had no interest! I had the idea of trying to feed the goat a leaf, assuming it wouldn't work, but at least Tyler would give up on the corn gathering, but we were all surprised when the goats ate up those leaves like there was no tomorrow! Check out the pics!

Ethan was feeding off the cob!

Kylie was all tuckered out!
John and Ethan
Em's model shot, ha ha!
Tyler could not WAIT for Nana to pay for his Gummy Bears so he could rip them open and eat!
YUM!
